On receipt of your new or replacement passport you should check the biodata page that all your personal details (e.g. name, date of birth, place of birth etc) have all been correctly printed on your passport. If your passport has an error, you will only be able to get a replacement passport free of charge if the passport is returned 6 months within the date of issue.
If an error has been made you need to return the passport to the Regional Passport Processing Centre that issued it, along with the supporting documentation as evidence of any change that is required. For example, if a name has been spelt wrong, please provide evidence of the correct spelling. If the date of birth is wrong, please provide your birth certificate to show the correct date.
