The Foreign & Commonwealth Office and this Consulate are keen to ensure that their buildings and services are fully accessible to disabled members of the public. Wherever possible, we have made our buildings and services accessible. Sometimes however, this is not possible due to security or other restrictions. In these situations we will endeavour to provide a service or access to a building in an alternative way to ensure equality of access for disabled people.

General Physical Access:

• The nearest car park is underground and has disabled access
• The main entrance to the building has a 5cm step
• The lift needed to reach this office is 65cm wide and 1m deep
• The stairs do have a handrail
• The flooring throughout the building is even
• Lighting throughout the building is good
• Counter services are at least 1.10m high
• Our toilets are not accessible by wheelchair users
• Fire alarm systems are in place, but fire escapes involve steps

• Hearing loops are installed
• Hearing dogs are welcome
