Remembrance Sunday (06/11/2009)
Foreign Secretary David Miliband joined Gordon Brown and laid a wreath at the Cenotaph in Whitehall on behalf of the UK's Overseas Territories on Remembrance Sunday.
The wreath for the annual Remembrance ceremony was made by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Plants native to several of the Overseas Territories were included in the design, which changes each year.
In a separate ceremony at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on 10 November, David Miliband also laid a wreath to commemorate FCO staff who have died in service overseas. Families and friends attended the ceremony.
